Welcome Emails Sent…
If you’re a new brain-trust member I now have all of the welcome emails sent. If you didn’t get yours then email me.
I’m still not caught up on my emails from Thursday (I seriously have almost 300 left to go through). If you asked a question in the last 2 days and haven’t received a response yet, I’ll get to it.
Feel free to send it in again, too. I’m now keeping current with new emails as I slog through the older ones.
The forums are installed… I have some small setup to do on them, but they should be ready by Saturday morning (Arizona time).
By the way… here’s a tip: Even if you’re pressed for time, don’t ever (ever, ever) launch a product without an auto-responder in place. Bad idea.

H @ 12:26 am:
Matt,
After confirming email address, should I get further instructions immediately or just wait when you are ready?
mharward @ 12:36 am:
You should get the confirmation email and then a welcome email. The next email sent will be the one letting you know the forum is ready.
Before the weekend is out you'll probably have 3 or 4 more as we get started.
wilson @ 2:47 am:
Hi Matt,
The confirmation email is sent to my paypal email account's email and i just signed up.
However, I don't use that account that much and mostly use my gmail account.
Is there any way to change it?
Sorry for the trouble.
Wilson
mharward @ 2:57 am:
@wilson… I can update that to whatever you want.
Also, once the forums are up you can create a profile using whichever email you want. (I'm working on forums right now… which is why I'm still up @ 3am)
Jason @ 5:00 am:

We'll consider that our first lesson to take away from The Brain Trust.
P.S. Happy belated birthday!
Marc @ 2:52 pm:
hey Matt,
I had sent you an email about this, but if I accidentally clicked on the unsubscribe link on the 2nd email after confirming my subscription to your emails for the IM Brain Trust in your 1st email, and then I re-clicked the link for the opt-in confirmation in your 1st email, would that put me back on the your email list?
And how many emails should we have received from you (by today as of this writing)? I've only received two.
Thanks Matt!
mharward @ 6:46 pm:
@jason… I took your advice to heart. I spent the day today golfing with my brothers and getting some rest.
@marc… no, that doens't work. I re-activated you manually.
Amit @ 10:53 pm:
Have a really relaxing weekend, Matt!
Messenger @ 10:58 pm:
It never ceases to amaze me how many humans think they are God Almighty on earth… As if all of your accomplishments have been due to solely to your greatness or whatever.
Have a little Humble Pie rather than birthday cake.
mharward @ 11:16 pm:
@messenger… is there somebody here who thinks that?
If you're referring to me, I'm really confused as to where that comes from. The title of my last post was just that… "I'm Humbled…"
I'm working my tail off to provide value, here. Am I *really* confident in my abilities? Absolutely. I'm extremely good at what I do.
But please don't come on my blog and pretend to know what my spiritual beliefs, motivations, meanings or attributions are. It's more than a bit presumptive. And ignorant.
If you think this blog is about me on my high-horse than you obviously haven't read much of it. So I invite you to get off yours… and take it somewhere else.
I'm in a good space in my relationship to what is "solely due to my greatness" and what lies beyond. Don't be so quick to judge. It does more to reveal your ignorance than my vanity

Amit @ 12:13 am:
Matt,
It never ceases to amaze me how many humans think they are Messengers of God Almighty on Earth…and that they have this divine right to pass judgment on anyone who dares live the life of their dreams…
Oh, but then isn't judgment God's prerogative?
Hmmmmm…maybe it's not the Messenger of God, maybe it's the Messenger of the D—-!
Mark @ 3:19 am:
@messenger
It never ceases to amaze me how the anonymity of the internet encourages cowardly and ill-conceived snipes at people who are clearly well-meaning.
I am very much interested in reading opinions that are justified with well though out and explained arguments. Especially when those opinions differ from my own. But that comment and opinion was a croc of s*%#. He/she has clearly not even bothered to read the blog. A lazy, ignorant post.
Taylor @ 11:29 am:
Quick where is my can of Troll-B-Gone. Trolls and virus creators, why do they exist.
Matt, don't give that comment any more thought/energy than you would some spambot generated comment. ok?
I'd hit the delete key. This blog is your house, people do not get to come pee in your pool.

Abhik @ 5:46 am:
Hey Matt,
I'm a little confused. I got your welcome email and it said we'll be receiving more info/instructions…but I haven't got anything yet. It says somewhere in the comments that we'll end up getting 3 or 4 emails before the weekend is out…am I missing something?
Basically if you've already sent out any real "brain trust" content…I haven't got it. If I'm jumping the gun…then cool, I haven't missed any emails.
Thanks,
Abhik
DanM (OR) @ 10:29 am:
Hey Matt,
I echo Abhik's post. Not sure if we should have received anything yet (ie…the content network crushing revealed).
Either way, looking forward to working with you to get things to another level.
Sincerely Grateful,
Dan
Taylor @ 3:43 pm:
Did you get the forum invite email? Looks like everyone is in there now.
DanM (OR) @ 5:47 pm:
Hi Taylor,
No. I haven't gotten anything except the thank you screen after the purchase. Have confirmed all is well with Paypal though.
Bummer…hopefully see you all soon!
Dan Majestic
mharward @ 6:15 pm:
@DanM… I checked my database and you haven't confirmed your email yet. Once you do that you'll start the auto-responder sequence. Let me know if you don't have that email anywhere.
DanM (OR) @ 7:05 pm:
Update: found a confirm email that got filtered somehow. Confirmed…received Welcome email…but no others.
Hopefully Matt will read these comments and be able to help me out.
Thanks!
Dan
mharward @ 8:14 pm:
@DanM… I've been away from my computer for a bit. Just got back and saw your message. I checked and can see that 4 emails have been sent in the responder sequence.
Did you receive those?

Kathy Nielsen @ 8:00 am:
I signed up for the Brain-trust on 11/12/09 but have had no communication back to me after the PayPal receipt. Thought I would poke around the web this morning to see if I could find out more information about Matt and the Brain-trust. Stumbled upon this blog. I hope I haven't missed out on the free bonuses. I want to get started right away, and most importantly I don't want to get behind for no good reason!
Taylor @ 11:30 am:
Kathy did you forward a copy of your paypal receipt to Matt?
He had to enter all of us manually. Then you get a welcome message and forum instructions.
Taylor @ 11:33 am:
Wait, Kathy go here -

Darryl Fussell @ 1:20 am:
Matt
Can you answer your emails please, I emailed you in regard to SiteSniperPro!!
January 31, 2010
Rui Martinho @ 2:54 pm:
Hello Matt.
I love the keyword sniper tool, but i am experiencing one problem.
I had to reinstall the software in windows7. It asks me for my name and email, it sends me the activation link, and i click it then. Then it says that the software is already activated and that will be restarted automatically.
The problem is that in win7(at least for me), it does not restart automatically. I have to laucnh it myself, and then ask me again, for entering name and email … in an endless loop.
SOS, how can i solve this problem.
I want to use your software?
Thank you
Regards
Rui Martinho

Pissed off Braintrust member - see ripoff report here @ 2:45 pm:
@Sam - don't bother. Read the latest ripoff reports (see link above in my name) and there's also been talk of taking Matt Harward the scammer to court.
Matt @ 4:32 pm:
So let's be clear about a few things, here…
Although I could simply delete the above comment, I'd rather address it. Every business has unhappy customers and I'm no exception.
When I started the brain trust I was very clear that I would issue no refunds after my Amazon method was revealed and you had access to it. And I was very lenient with that.
Over the course of the brain trust I have had about 40 people whose rebills failed for one reason or another. Each of those members had their accounts suspended (not canceled) until payments were resumed. Each of those accounts was outside of the refund period when their access was suspended.
It wouldn't be fair to the other bt members (or me) to continue giving non-paying members access to the content.
In spite of what you may believe, I have really struggled with how to handle the suspended accounts. And the decision I made is the one I am committed to. Suspended members had ample opportunity to receive a refund. Including after I announced that the software would be delayed. And I will not make content accessible to a non-paying member.
Is that solution going to please everyone? No. I really do feel bad about that. But I had to draw the line somewhere.
And the line is simple… Members suspended for non-payment can be reinstated at any time and continue to receive full access to the content. But they must pay just like everyone else.
And some people will be pissed off by that. And will call me names. And, while I wish it wasn't so, it is what it is. I'd love to have you back.

Shannon @ 3:38 pm:
If you have a customer that feels that strongly about your services it would make sense to give them a refund. The hit you get in bad press is not worth the couple hundred dollars you would have to refund. If your brain trust is valid and people are making money then you should not have a rush of people wanting a refund. If on the other hand the brain trust is less than advertised then I can see why you would not want to give one penny back.
